Find Me And Follow Me

This is very impressive.

Work is being very rubbish lately. Too busy. Too tired. I want a new job.

24 is getting very very good thought. The plot twists and turns all the way throughout. Jack Bauer is one tough nut. Lost is starting to turn a corner with the plot. Maybe something big is aboout to be revealed. Starting watching Heroes. Cant really comment yet, but Ill keep watching it.

A mixed week with the weather. Some days are very wet and some days (like today) are very hot. Isnt global warming great?

As for my hair its starting to grow in after a week. Taken a photo every day and you can see a difference.

The website is getting a refit. Soon.

Dance Among The Ruins

A pretty uneventful week last week. Went to see Sunshine. It is a very good film. You should definately go see it, as it is a very thoughtful film. Despite rumours about the ending being a little ropey I thought it was the best ending the film could of had. Looking forward to '28 Weeks Later'. Check the site here.Another good film which is already released on DVD in the US but is just getting a cinema release here is 'Half Nelson'. Check the site for this film here.

Had a quiet weekend, but on Sunday I decided to get all my hair shaved off. Number 4 on the top and 2 on the sides. Its different. A lot more hassle-free which is good but I do miss longer hair. It will grow back. Im taking a photo a day (from Monday) and Ill probably put it into some sort of montage sometime to see the hair grow!

The weather has turned. It is now raining, lots. Rubbish.

Young And Old

Had a pretty good weekend. Was working Saturday morning, but it was a pretty easy shift, then a nice afternoon in the sun playing with the dogs and a barbeque into the evening. Was a nice warm day, and a pretty good dinner.

Sunday we decided to climb The Cobbler (Ben Arthur). I hadnt done it before, but it was so good. The best mountain I have climbed so far. It doesnt matter it's not a munro. The ascent starts quite gently with a long winding path up through the forest, and then eases out onto the valley and you really appreciate the size and structure of the mountain. On the way up you pass the Narniann boulders. We climbed the first one alright with a bit of a push and left the bigger one for the way down. Then you hit the true ascent. Very rocky, and very steep all the way to the top. A good 45 minutes climbing and you are there. Then you need to 'thread the needle' which means getting to the true top. You go through a small hold and climb on to the top of some boulders. After many people doing this the rocks are a bit polished so you need to be careful or its a long way down! On the way down we tried the second Narniann boulder. After some negotiating the 15 foot or so wall, we clambered on top. Then we were a little stuck. Jump? Tricky, but maybe doable. The a man helped us out and guided us down with the appropriate footholds and hand grips. Good fun. Check the photos here.

Going to climb another one this weekend so check back for more photos.

Aereogramme are supporting Biffy at their Glasgow date. This is quite stellar news.

Even better news is that the mighty Nine Inch Nails will support the Foo's in Edinburgh! Blimey. £35 doesnt seem so bad now!

Part II

Here are two videos for you to see if you are bored.

This is the music video for Madonna's Jump single. It features some pretty good parkour. Enjoy.

And this is the latest BMW TV advert. Love the smooth flowing colours. Most BMW adverts are pretty good. Enjoy.

Stop Me

Tried to go and play some tennis today but because of the good weather, all the courts were taken! Gutted. Oh well. Hopefully climbing The Cobbler on Sunday as I need to work tomorrow morning.

The weather has been rather special lately, highs of 18 degrees today! Summer on the way?

For this week only check out Mark Ronson's myspace page here you can listen to the whole new album before its released. Very hip.

I finally managed to grab a copy of No One Knows by Queens Of The Stone Age but the acoustic version. Very slick. Also managed to grab a copy of Juneau acoustic by FFAF. Acoustic is the new rock and roll.

What Ive Done

Managed to get over the worst of the flu to be able to go to East Fortune yesterday to see Concorde at its new home. Been before, but it was cool to go again. The walk on is always fun, to walk around the plane and see what its like, even the cockpit. Also to be able to walk around the outside and see the scale and magnificent Delta wings is pretty awesome.

Watched The Royal Tenenbaums last night for the first time. Was a really interesting film, a bit quirky but just a good film to kick back to on a Monday evening.

Here is some new Linkin Park. New sound direction is pretty good.

Flu

Its been a pretty busy week really. For the most part I have been at work on my own as Frank is away on holiday. It was mostly OK, but its still more work if you are on your own. Went for a ride on Monday, played tennis on Tues and Thurs and went to see 300 on Wednesday. Then I wake up on Friday morning, the start of my 4 day weekend, and I feel like crap. Aches. Hot. Cold. Fever. Sickness. Possibly the flu. Spent most of the morning in bed, then all day on the sofa in front of the TV. Sucks. Feel better today though.

Found a really good track throughout the week. Its called Unlike Me by Kate Havnevick. She is Swedish and really good. There is a free mp3 flying around on the net somewhere so try and check it out.

So, 300. I was really looking forward to this. And it didnt disappoint. The imagery was really well done. I think the whole comparing to Sin City is a little stretched and probably just for marketing. But it was very good. The slow motion battle scenes were great. The only thing was that it was over quickly. I was expecting something a little more epic. Like Lord Of The Rings, a big build-up then an intense battle with no interruptions. But the way 300 played out it worked well. Well worth seeing.

Here is a photo from my cool camera on manual focus mode. I love it.
