New Way Home

Well it's now 2008. How exciting.

I don't get New Year's Resolutions. Why does it have to be a new year before some people will try and change something they have been doing for ages. And then just give up after a few weeks.

I managed to get home for Christmas Day which was good. Flew up on the Sunday before. I was quite lucky as loads of flights got cancelled due to fog. Spent a few days there which was good, then drove down on Christmas evening which wasn't so fun. Just pinned it the whole way so made good time. Got a great compilation CD of Rough Trade artists so that kept me entertained.

Then I got the flu. Went into work on boxing day, and then had to take 4 days off to recover. Now I have an infected ear, possible perforated eardrum.

The time off meant I could fire through all the DVD's I got. 300, Die Hard 4.0, Spider-man 3 and Pirates : At World's End.

Not much else happening really. Just been working and keeping a low profile.

Had a quiet one last night. What with feeling a bit ropey already, and New Year's Eve being rubbish I wasn't too bothered.

Im off to make New Year's dinner.
