Ive been away

Was away down south for a wedding this past weekend. It was good to get away though. We made it down pretty quick. The 200 odd miles in about 3 hours, but on the way back it was just slow going over the A66, so I was late for work. Which I should really of got covered as I was knackered afetr driving for so long. If train tickets and car rental were a lot cheaper then I think more people would choose that option. But to do that we would have been about £70 each for a return on the train and then about £30 for car hire. And one thing I noticed on the Virgin Trains booking system is that it could be cheaper to buy two singles than a return. How stupid is that?

The Arctic Monkeys winning the Mercury Music Award? Eh? If you see the shortlist for this year then there is much more deserving artists, and much better albums. The Editors, Muse and The Guillemots, but I think Thom Yorke should have won it. His solo album is just amazing. All the Arctic Monkeys did was record some rehashed two-bit guitar pop, post it on myspace and get lucky. Its the hype-machine at work again.
