Voodoo Hoodoo
Its good to step away from the monitor for a few days and reconnect with the world. Not that Im in some bubble the rest of the time, but for the past few days I have just been going out and having fun.
For example we had an ok night at the Art School on Thursday, but the music is way too random and some of the folk way too prententious. Plus it was freshers week and the place was like a cattle market. Off to the pub on Friday night and found a poster detailing some Scottish tartan the most hilarious thing....ever. Its not really, but I was drunk. Then an absolute blast at the ABC on Saturday. Some fine, fine tunes such as Prodigy - Voodoo People and Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit only helped to make an excellent night out. There was a price for all this fun, missed a free screening of Oliver Stone's new flick World Trade Centre on the Sunday. Bummer.
As for the days, spent a nice hour or so on the beach Friday just enjoying the sun, it was very warm. And then back at the house I had a wander in the field with the dogs, and got some good photos. I wish we had a dog.
Some more music for everyone to check out. If you like Alkaline Trio you will enjoy Heavens, Matt Skiba's side project. Patent Pending is a stellar tune. Also get Switches - We Laid Down The Law and The Blood Arm - Suspicious Character. If you listen to Zane Lowe or Xfm in the evening you will know these tracks.
Enjoy some photos
